MS Teams Tip - No More Channel Surfing

You have the ability to choose which channels you want to see and hide the rest within your Teams desktop app. This allows you to customize your channels to fit the way you work. Pick the channels you need to see under your Team and then pin the channels you use to the top of your app.

Unhide a Hidden Channel

Your Team may have multiple channels and some may not display. If you want a channel to display in your Teams list, you can Show it. Or if you don't want the channel to show, you can Hide it. This is a great way to keep your list of channels clean, allowing you to focus on the ones you are active in.

1. Click the Hidden Channels link.
    
2. Click Show beside the Channel you want to display in your list.
   
   
   
   
3. If you don't want a channel to display in the list, click the More Options ... button beside the channel and click Hide. You will still receive notifications when someone @mentions you, but your channel list won't feel as cluttered.
   
   

Pin to Favorites

Pinned channels stay on top of your list so you don't have to search for them. 

1. Click the More Options ... button beside the Channel and click Pin. The channel displays at the top of your Teams list.
   
   
2. Once you have more than one channel pinned, you can drag them into the order you want them to display.
   
   
3. If you no longer need a channel pinned, click the More Options ... button and click Unpin.
